We are docked at Fisherman's Center which is across the street from Burger King on US 31 (Arthur Street). Do I Need a Fishing License? |
If you are 17 or older, you will need a Michigan all species fishing license. They can be purchased online or at various locations throughout the State. One day licenses are available and can be purchased in advance. The bait shop at my marina (Fisherman's Center) sells licenses but they are not open in time to get one before we leave in the morning. The sporting goods department at K Mart is a good place to buy one if you get into town after Fisherman's Center closes. |

How Long is a Charter? |
Half day charters are our most popular trips and last 6 hours from dock to dock or limit. Full day charters are 9 hours from dock to dock or limit. "Dock to dock" means from the time we are scheduled to leave the dock until the time we return to our dock. "Or limit" means the charter will end early if we reach the legal limit of our customers. The Michigan limit is five fish per person with no more than three of any one species. Departure times vary through the season to coincide with sunrise and sunset. The Captain will notify you of departure time when the trip is booked. |
